The Professional Practices Audit Supervisor oversees audit administration and control consulting engagements that evaluate corporate management and operating practices. The Audit Supervisor assists the Chief Auditor and Audit Managers in overseeing and directing the Internal Audit Plan, which includes the year-end internal audit assistance provided to the independent public accountant/ external auditors. This position participates in overseeing the Companys compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and the required reporting. Job Responsibilities : Manages monitoring and reporting of audit plan progress and results and performs and administers department quality assurance activities. Maintenance of IA operational practices and protocols including updating to department policies and procedures. Monitoring and development of department metrics, service level agreements and prepare stakeholder reporting. Administration of Internal Audit quality assurance reviews, monitoring and reporting of department metrics and of service level agreements, stakeholder reporting, coordinating department responses to external examinations and regulatory inquiries and monitoring department testing and reporting of previously identified issues. Assists with the Independent Public Accounting firm's annual audit of the Corporation. Direct the activities of the Internal Audit staff assigned to support SOX testing. Effective coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements to maintain internal controls to ensure the identification of significant accounts, processes, assertions and risks, the identification and evaluation of the control design, the performance of tests and controls and the overall assessment of financial reporting and internal controls. Participate in the completion of the Quarterly 302 Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Internal Control Certification Process and FDICIA Internal Control Certification process. Assist in the performance of the Internal Audit risk assessment for use in development of the Internal Audit plan. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and the with external auditors Keeps abreast of Company policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing professions, and changes in local, state, and federal laws, as applicable. Ensure governance and compliance are controlled and met and that accounting procedures are implemented. Supervises day-to-day activities of designated staff, promoting a work environment that is fair, equitable, and provides timely feedback. Train new staff, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience of at least 10+ years of testing, auditing in operations and/or financial services. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have advanced proficiency in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and demonstrable proficiency in other testing software. Professional Certification, such as CIA, CPA, CBA, CFSA, preferred. Must have sound knowledge in a broad range of internal control concepts regarding the financial, operational and data processing areas of a financial institution. Must have extensive understanding of operational and accounting control procedures, methods and philosophies in a banking environment. Must have working knowledge and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and federal banking laws and regulations. Must have knowledge of auditing standards, procedures and related techniques. Must have the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Must have strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Must display a strong level of integrity, ethics, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate data to make informed decisions. Supervisory experience preferred, including hiring, employee development and performance management skills. Must have the ability to motivate others and promote teamwork. Must have the ability or experience with the use of automated workpapers. Must have in-depth understanding of the COSO framework, as well as an understanding of public companies reporting requirements under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
