Staff Accountant

About the Role InvestCoud is looking for a dynamic Staff Accountant maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and audits. This position supports the accounting department by performing general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and is capable of managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines. What does a great Staff Accountant do? Effectively works on multiple assignments simultaneously with a high degree of integrity and professionalism while working with financial documents. How you will provide meaningful contributions: Manage Daily Bank Reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Updating the Cash Tracker for AP, AR, and Treasury teams Booking intercompany transactions, outgoing payroll, benefits, bank fees, and other miscellaneous transactions Maintain and manage the NetSuite Fixed Assets Module Create Month-End Reconciliations and analyze reconciling items Assist in multiple system implementations to achieve long-term finance goals Work with other accounting teams to analyze Fixed Assets concerning WIP, disposals, and compliance to capitalization limit policies. Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS). Assist with the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and adjusting entries. Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with regulatory and company policies. Provide financial data and analysis as requested by management. Basic Qualifications for Consideration: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. 1-3 years of accounting experience. Analytical attitude and ability to resolve accounting problems with multiple variables. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to assist with projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; exhibit a sense of urgency in performing tasks. Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to relate and clearly communicate with accounting team and other departments. Must be a team player, ambitious, and able to prioritize under pressure during peak periods. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with ERP systems is preferred; NetSuite is a plus. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Preferred Skills / Experience CPA candidate preferred. At least one year of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus. NetSuite experience is a plus.
