Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/29/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, flexible Employment Type: Travel The Medical Specialty Care Unit (MSCU) is a brand new, state of the art 16-bed progressive care unit in our new patient pavilion. The MSCU will care primarily for medically complex patients on the hospital medicine service. As a building block in terms of patient acuity, as well as professional development, to our 61-bed medicine unit, we are poised to provide a dynamic learning and team-based environment for both new and experienced care providers. Inpatient medicine cares for patients of all ages and diagnoses with complex patient needs and high acuity as our specialty. RN Patient ratios: 3:1 both days and nights Charge nurse typically takes no assignment. There are 2 nursing assistants on the unit. MUST HAVE MINIMUM OF 2 YRS OF RECENT EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE.Must have Level 1 in the last 2 years. Must have BLS and ACLS. Required Experience: - Chest tubes - Tubes - Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone - CPAP/BiPAP - Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients - Trachs/Laryngectomies - Telemetry - Complex wounds - Central Lines - care and maintenance and blood draws - Step down experience Preferred Experience: - Arterial line management About Travel Nurse Across America At TNAA, we take pride in doing things differently.
