Description The Supervisor Nuclear Medicine performs the direct supervisory tasks related to his/her unit, such as staffing, scheduling, personnel management, budget planning, and service/quality assurance. The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the function of the entire Medical Center and the role of all Nuclear Medicine departments, as well as the entire Diagnostic Stress team in relation to other areas of the Medical Center, along with the role of the unit in relation to other units in the department. This position must insure and maintain harmonious and productive contact with other departments throughout the hospital. The Supervisor Nuclear Medicine provides indirect patient care to all age groups. This position works with inter-departmental resources as a catalyst for driving improved operational capabilities and services. This position also provides supervision, training, ongoing guidance, mentorship, and team building to assigned personnel in accomplishing their objectives, fulfilling their responsibilities, and monitoring their progress in adherence with hospital policies, procedures, and priorities. Provides leadership, leads by example, and mobilizes inter-departmental resources to pursue goals and objectives. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts that reflect the Sisters of Providence mission, values, and philosophy. The Unit Supervisor uses age related concepts when communicating with patients and families based on the unit population assigned for neonates (0-1 month), infants (1 month to age 1), toddlers (ages 1-2), preschoolers (ages 3-5), school age (ages 6-12), adolescents (ages 13-17), early adults (ages 18-35), middle adults (ages 36-65), and the older adult (ages 66+). Required qualifications: Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Or Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 5 years of Nuclear medicine or diagnostic imaging experience. 5 years of Progressively responsible leadership experience required. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field of study 5 years of Radiation Safety Officer or Radiation Safety Program experience. Why Join Providence?
