Further information is Purpose & ScopeReporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Body Repair II will perform the removal, repair, and replacement of a variety of motor coach components. Primary responsibility is body repair, with additional duties including Mechanic III level functions.Key Responsibilities Removal, repair and replacement of all body and frame components (including all riveted, spot-welded and perimeter-welded parts, panels, frame members and bulkheads). Removal, repair, and replacement of lights, doors (entry, luggage, and compartments). Windows and window glass, moldings, upholstery, and body accessories. Pre-delivery inspection of new and pre-owned coaches. Assist Mechanic I and II. General lubrication functions including engine oil/filter changes, air filter changes, chassis lubrication. Transmission fluid and filter changes, differential fluid checks, axle/wheel inspection, removal, and replacement of brake components lubrication. Parts disassembly and cleaning. Hourly Rate: $30 - $32RequirementsPreferred Education / Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 year's experience in body repair and mechanical work on automotive, bus, or coach components and systems. CDL preferred Preferred Skills and Competencies Must be proficient in the use of pneumatic riveter, sanders, grinders, hydraulic pullers; pressure painting equipment, standard fastener equipment, standard tools, oxygen/acetylene welding, ARC, MIG and T.G. welding equipment, and body filler material and fiberglass. Must furnish all small hand tools required to perform the functions specified above. Generally, this includes all tools at and below a ½" drive level. Capable of preparing accurate parts and component listings for body damage repairs and assisting shop management in preparing accurate repair time estimates. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic computer skills, including experience with Oracle or similar systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
