About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced and visionary SRE Delivery lead within Stability Swarm team within Consumer technology to direct our Site Reliability Engineering team. The SRE Director will be responsible for overseeing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure and services, while driving innovation and best practices across the organization. In this role, you will: Develop and execute the overall SRE strategy aligned with business objectives Lead and mentor a team of SREs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of SRE practices across the organization Guide the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure Oversee the development of automation tools and processes Ensure the adoption of best practices in monitoring, alerting, and incident response Set and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical services Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency Lead post-mortem analyses and implement learnings from incidents Oversee capacity planning to ensure infrastructure scales with business growth Identify and implement cost optimization strategies for cloud and on-premises infrastructure Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards Drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve reliability and efficiency Communicate SRE strategies, plans, and performance to executive leadership Collaborate with product teams to ensure reliability is considered in product development Required Qualifications: 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4+ years of Management experience 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership role Deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, and observability platforms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven track record of leading high-performing technical teams Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically Desired Qualifications: Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR) Experience with large-scale, high-traffic systems Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
