Shermco US is seeking an Electrical Engineer. Electrical Engineer We offer the opportunity to develop and utilize a broad engineering skill set at an accelerate pace. Our engineers work in a dynamic environment where there are no limits on personal or professional growth. This position is based in Auburn, WA. However, it may require site visits anywhere in the Pacific NW Region. Job Responsibilities and Expectations: Perform electrical analysis and design in both the industrial and utility sectors Protective relaying design and integration (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider, etc.) Industrial/Utility substation automation (SEL RTAC, RTU, HMI, Communications, etc.) Conduct electrical studies including short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonic studies Creation/modification/review/approval of electrical drawing packages: single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangements. Electrical distribution system design and modifications: MCC's, switchgear, breakers, fuses, switches, transformers, capacitor banks, current transformers, potential transformers, protective relays and controls. Troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutions to correct deficiencies in electrical systems Opportunity to support field services division for maintenance and commissioning activities on customer sites. Onsite engineering inspections and data collection Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Willingness to be hands and work in the field alongside our field technicians. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and effectively communicate directly to customers and co-workers. Experience performing protective relay projects a plus. Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies a plus. Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software a plus.
