Warehouse Devices Deployment Technician

Our client is a large grocery company. They are looking for a Warehouse Devices Deployment Technician to join their team. This role is a CONTRACT to HIRE position. Position will be ONSITE. Candidates must be residing within commutable distance of Portland, OR to be considered.**Contract to Hire after 6 months****Onsite**Summary:Warehouse Devices Deployment Technician will be responsible for the rollout and upgrade of devices throughout company warehouses and plants. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in configuring, installing, maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, including handheld devices, tablets, printers and voice picking devices.Responsibilities:Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, configuration, and compatibility issues with equipmentMaintain and calibrate printers used for labeling and documentation purposesProvide training and support to equipment operators on proper usage and maintenance proceduresCollaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely completion of work orders and minimize equipment downtimeAssist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong equipment lifespan and reduce unexpected failuresStay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in warehouse material handling devices and related technologiesAdhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks in a distribution center environmentRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or relevant vocational training is preferred5 + years of proven experience as a device technician or similar role, working in distribution centers warehousesPrior experience with IT device project rollouts with multiple locationsProficiency with handheld devices and android operating systems (scanners, etc.)Familiarity with printer configuration and related maintenance proceduresStrong understanding of command line editing for troubleshooting and configuration purposesAbility to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentRed Oak Technologies is made up of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and lifestyles.
