**This role is based in NYC with a hybridremote in-office experience. Our AI-powered SaaS solution has delivered amazing product-market fit for our customers in over 2 billion square feet of real estate, dozens of massive construction projects, and growing!To support our continued growth and ambitious plans for the future, we are seeking a finance leader who can drive our financial strategy, manage our resources effectively, and ensure we have the financial infrastructure to sustain our rapid expansion. This role is critical as we navigate our next phase of growth and innovation in the real estate and construction sectors.What You'll DoLead a team of internal and external members to accomplish billing and collections tasks.Work with executive leadership, sales, and customer success teams to optimize business processes.Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Manage AR collections and handle billing inquiries.Resolve billing and revenue-related issues through effective communication.Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements and revenue recognition policies (ASC 606).Lead performance of general cost accounting duties, maintenance of financial records.Reconcile bank accounts and verify payment of invoices.Maintain accounting software systems and ensure data integrity.Ensure accurate filing of tax forms and compliance with accounting standards.Assist with preparation of documents for audits and implement internal controlsWho You AreBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controllership role and 1-2 years of experience in corporate accounting.Strong communication skills (verbal and written), a track record of critical-thinking and problem solving, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Ability to manage and streamline accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.A knack for solving complex problems and seeking opportunities to build and grow processes.Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.Experience with QuickBooks, Maxio, Excel, and HubSpot.Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 842.Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.Experience with international subsidiary translation and consolidation.Why Join JonesCollaborate directly with our C-Suite, playing a crucial role in optimizing our financial operationsJoin a dynamic, agile, and talented teamAccess significant opportunities for professional growth and developmentBe part of a leading tech company which is driving industry innovation while experiencing outstanding revenue retentionOur CultureOur goal is to build a company where people feel ownership of their role and are able to grow and enrich their skills and experience.
