Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of EITS leadership, the Revenue Cycle Business Analyst Level 2 is responsible for the on-going assessment, design, and development and implementation of corporate -wide clinicalrevenue cycle systems. Specifically, manage and direct the collection and transformation of large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements; development and modifications of requirements documentation for the design and implementation of clinicalrevenue cycle information systems; critically evaluate information from various sources, distinguish user needs from actual business needs and partner with business users, project managers, programmers, consultants and IT leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of actual and proposed projects as well as assist in managing stakeholder expectations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specificationsDevelop status reports for submission to leadership;Provide technical and analytic knowledge for the development of the Revenue Cycle SystemResponsible for the daily monitoring and issue resolution of any system related issues reported by end users; will require daily usage of the ESD Service Now application; Work on more complex incidents, take on optimization requests and build associated that is more work intensiveInterview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocolstandards.Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements.Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards.Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process.Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.Coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with other team leaders.Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defectsParticipate and lead in special projects as required.Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies.Due to the responsibilities of your position, you may be required to work beyond your regularly scheduled hoursDue to the responsibilities of your position, you will be required to travel to H+H facilities when required for meetings and work-related issues.Create statistical reporting based on end user needs within the Epic Hospital Billing module.Ability to complete demonstrations, develop effective presentations, deliver in a professional manner, and mentor lower level analysts for successIf not already Epic certified or proficient a Proficiencycertification in assigned application must be obtained within 6 months of hire. This certificateproficiency must be maintained, and all continuing education must be passed to retain employmentMinimum Qualifications1. A Masters degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience gathering and documenting business, clinical, andor functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis or related in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one (1) year of experience in a relevant clinical andor healthcare administration rolefunction; or 2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience as described above; or 3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience. 4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one (1) year.Note: Candidates selected for a position are required to come to NYC as part of their onboarding.
