Senior UI Engineer, HFT Trading Our client, a leading global proprietary trading firm with state of the art technologies and advanced computing environment, is seeking an exceptional Senior UI Engineer to join their Trading Technology team. In this role, you will build and scale sophisticated trading interfaces developing full products, from inception to production, including identifying the business needs, user experience, backend processing, production support, and product evangelismWhile primarily focused on UI engineering, the position offers opportunities to work on API design and backend development. This position requires someone who can work independently with high-level requirements and collaborate directly with traders and researchers daily.You will be responsible for developing intuitive interfaces using TypeScript and React that help users understand, visualize, and interact with large trading datasets. The role demands strong initiative and the ability to understand complex trading requirements.Technical Requirements & Skills:Extensive web development experience focusing on modern JavaScript stackStrong background in UX design and feature implementation Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and React ecosystemsStrong foundation in HTML5, WebSockets, and Node.js developmentDemonstrated experience with automated testing methodologiesSolid background in high-availability system developmentProficient in Linux environments and command-line operationsExpert-level Chrome browser optimization skillsServer-side systems development experienceExperience with trading platforms is a plusKnowledge of security implementations (2FA, encryption) is beneficialDevOps and system administration skills are advantageousCore Responsibilities:Develop solutions from inception to production deploymentDesign and implement frontend architectures using TypeScriptReactCreate robust APIs and backend services as neededOptimize application performance for Chrome browserMaintain production systems including on-call supportWork closely with traders and researchers to understand requirementsDrive technical decisions for UI implementationThis position offers highly competitive compensation, including a significant performance-based bonus structure and comprehensive benefits package.
