Project Director

Summary: As the Director of Project Management, you will lead a team of professionals providing preconstruction planning, estimating, strategy and contract oversight for utility scale solar, and battery energy storage projects. This position will oversee all aspects of planning, scheduling, and budgets from preconstruction to final completion across the EPC portfolio. Supervisory Responsibilities:Provide daily leadership to a staff of Project Managers responsible for planning and execution of projectsAdvances corporate strategic direction by establishing goals for the PM group and hosting lessons learned for continuous improvementAlign personal and team goals to department and company goalsMentors and trains staff on project control tools to effectively manage project costs, schedules, scopes, change orders and inspires a culture of disciplined attention to detail and frequent contract referencing to support contractor management and generation of management reportsManage and support employee growthProvide and facilitate resources to participate in implementation and development of "First Time Right" training initiatives Education andor Work Experience Requirements: Education:Minimum 10 to 15 years Solar Construction Experience including a minimum of 5 years P&L responsibilityEngineering Degree or Construction Management Major preferredPMIPMP certification · Knowledge of OSHA safety and construction regulations. OSHA 30 certification preferredExperience and proficiency with Microsoft ProjectExperience and proficiency with MS Office including MS Excel and MS WordSolid knowledge and understanding of key value drivers for renewable power projects and developerowneroperator company objectivesStrong oral and written communication, project management, leadership, and team-building skills, including experience working with cross-functional internal and external technical advisors and stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to read, interpret, edit, and understand plans and specifications for civil, mechanical, and electrical workExperience with managing renewable energy construction contracts including change order management and dispute resolutionExperienced with managing and driving project schedules Physical RequirementsWork Environment:Ability to travel 50% of time or more to project locations
