The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a knowledgeable Administrative Officer 5 to provide direction to Central Office Divisions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Officer 5, you will be tasked with directly supervising and managing Central Office functions. You will be responsible for defining the process and procedures for programs as well as refining and enhancing interrelationships with other programs relative to workforce development issues and programs. Work includes providing guidance and assistance for broad policy development, program and operational matters, as well as staff development involving the delivery of programs, strategic planning, provision of technical assistance, and continuous improvement enhancement of workforce development programs in support of the evolving PA CareerLink infrastructure. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth title); or Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
