Computed Tomography Technologist

The Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality CT procedures using specialized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy. This role involves adhering to protocols, educating and preparing patients, and ensuring safe practices are followed to enhance patient outcomes. Operate head or body x-ray scanners to create computer-generated cross-sectional images Perform routine and special CT exams while minimizing additional imaging and radiation dose exposure Complete all exams and documentation accurately in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Educate and prepare patients for exams to enhance understanding and cooperation Demonstrate commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program Licensure/Certification: ARRT: RT(R)(CT) RT(N)(CT), NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT), or equivalent combination. BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
