Engineering Manager

Summary:Our client is a premier, tier 1 supplier who is looking for a Foundry Engineering Manager, to oversee the Foundry Engineering function and support manufacturing operations. The Foundry Engineering Manager must have 5-7 years of strong manufacturing experience within a heavy manufacturing space.Foundry Engineering Manager Requirements:Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years related experienceMust have strong communication skills, be well organized and self-motivatedMust demonstrate good overall knowledge of facility productsMust be able to mentor, guide and lead internal colleaguesMust have strong experience with Excel, Power Point and engineering-related softwareFoundry Engineering Manager Description:Direct and plan plant engineering operations to maximize equipment uptime and productionOversee planning related to modification of existing plant facilities or installation of new plant facilities including all requirements, costs, specifications, timetables, etcMaintain communication between plant engineering and other departments, outside contractors, corporate engineering, regulatory agencies, etc. as necessary to achieve desired resultsOversee and coordinate outside contractors working at the plant to verify that work is completed safely and in accordance with plant and Company policies and meets specifications and desired resultsEnsure all federal, state, local and Company regulations are observed and enforcedEvaluate work performance and counsel and coach engineers to maintain efficient work performancePrepare budget for engineering projects and administer and control budget during the business yearMaintain open communications with employees and work with employees to mutually resolve problems to enhance moraleEnforce the proper use of safety equipment and ensure departmental housekeeping to produce a safe work environmentCoach supervisors to reinforce safe work practicesMaintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes or equipment which improve quality and efficiency and reduce costMay perform other duties as assigned
