For more information, please visit is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Legal Secretary.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a legal secretary.Prior experience supporting cases filed in California state or federal court is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), Adobe, and Zoom applications.Outstanding written and oral communications skills.Strong time management skills and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to interact respectfully with diverse staff and community members. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:Perform secretarial and administrative support to multiple attorneys in furtherance of LAFLA's mission. Provide case support, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents; filing and serving documents electronically or via mail; communicating with internal and external parties; and maintaining accurate litigation calendars. Create and maintain electronic and physical case files. Communicate with clients to collect and relay information and coordinate appointments. Perform various clerical duties, such as mail processing, photocopying, scanning, and office supply maintenance.Handle receptionist andor front desk coverage, as needed, including screening applicants for legal services. If bilingual, provide translation and interpretation services.
