Registered Nurse (RN): Full-Time. Valley Hope of Boonville is in search of a talented nurse RN to join our team. This person will primarily work day shift but needs to the flexibility to occasionally work night shift. Valley Hope of Boonville, located just outside of Columbia off I-70, provides Missouri with residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services. Valley Hope nurses specialize in making patients feel loved from the moment they walk in the door by providing compassionate medical care, key to the short and long-term success of patients in recovery. Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time. COMPENSTATION: RN Starting at up to $38.00/hr (based on education and experience) Shift Differentials: Night: $4.25 Weekend Night: $4.75 Weekend Day: $1.00 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Licensed as a Nurse to practice in the state of employment. Associate's degree in nursing required for RN applicants Work experience in substance abuse treatment industry is preferred. JOB SUMMARY: Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient. Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient. Follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.). Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions. Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPPA. Assists with detox admissions and provides patient care support during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient. Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner. Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients' treatment and status. Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.
