Job Title: Process Engineer Job Description Responsible for accuracy and revision maintenance of controlled formula batch cards and mixing instruction cards. Support sales and estimating in material/process recommendations as directed by VP Engineering. Recommend improvements to existing materials. Lead R&D efforts regarding new materials and/or material processes. Manage testing and implementation of recommended material improvements as approved and prioritized by engineering. Recommend/Implement improvements in material processing and control as prioritized by engineering. Responsible for performing random but routine audits of the mixing personnel with respect to formulations, procedures, reporting, and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for reviewing and reporting equipment issues resultant from the periodic inspections as well as breakdowns, etc, with the maintenance supervisor and plant manager. Attends regularly scheduled production staff meetings and reports any concerns or potential issues and documents/investigates those concerns and discusses with the plant manager and/or QA manager. Support production and quality with troubleshooting production processes as requested. Responsible for maintaining correct inventory levels of raw materials and scheduling deliveries to meet production requirements. Responsible for maintaining and auditing all material related procedures. Hard Skills Materials Engineering Materials Science Ceramic Process Engineering Job Type This is a permanent position. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. Work Environment On site 5 days/week. Will be working in an office on the plant floor.
