Description: This position is for an Infrastructure Administrator who has experience in both compute and storage related technologies. Perform systems administration activities in support of Windows Server operating systems, maintain Windows Server platform, perform support and administration activities in the following technologies and services: virtualization, automation, directory services, application delivery, file services, and name resolution (DNS). Additional responsibilities maintaining Backup, Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Storage Area Network (SAN) environments ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Deploy automated compute and storage solutions that align with approved designs, fulfill business requirements, and comply with established procedures. • Implement lifecycle management activities following business requirements. • Review daily reports and/or tickets for compliance issues. • Provide performance analysis, installation and tuning of the compute and storage infrastructure including hardware, operating systems, and applications. • Manage compute and storage systems in an enterprise environment to comply with established procedures. • Document and maintain compute and storage administration processes and procedures. • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new things. • Mentor team members to ensure adequate training and knowledge sharing. • Develop standards and ensure they are maintained and adhered to. • Build meaningful reports to show health and performance of various systems. • Work effectively and transparently with cross-functional operations support teams and customers of the infrastructure group. • Ability to make timely recommendations to effectively solve problems, using independent judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and/or law. • Professionally exercises discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work. • Participate in On-Call as required. • Operational experience within a federally regulated industry. • Complete other duties as assigned.
