Job Title : Construction Safety Manager (Batavia, OH) Location : Batavia, OH Duration : 6 Months (Starts Beginning of December) Type : 1099 Contractor Compensation : Hourly Rate : $50/hr over time after 40hrs at $75/hr Completion Bonus : $150/month Pay : Weekly Schedule : Hours : Mon-Sat 10-hour day 60hrs/wk Project Scope : The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of Sheet metal and ductwork. Our client is the fabricator and installer of all sheet metal/ductwork for all three buildings at the new Purina manufacturing plant in Batavia, OH. This position will be the LEAD safety rep on-site Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years in construction safety management, Certifications : Current OSHA 510 certification required. BCSP cert preferred Principal Duties & Responsibilities : Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations. Provide safety training as needed. Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices. Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence. Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications Skills : Excellent public speaking and communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. OSHA outreach training experience is a plus. Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Knowledge : Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively. Work Environment : Primarily in warehouse, clinical, manufacturing, and construction settings. May require after-hours work or occasional weekends in response to emergencies.
