Job Overview: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reporting. They will maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality in their work. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will serve as a backup to the Accountant, assisting with accounts payable and other general accounting duties as needed. To succeed in this role, the position requires an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will interact with the Company's internal management and external customers. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report directly to the Chief of Staff. Responsibilities: Prepare and send out invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Monitor and manage aging reports, ensuring timely collections. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with customer accounts. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving billing issues in a timely manner. Validate incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Evaluate customer credit, working with the sales team to mitigate risk. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the accounts receivable processes. Serve as backup to the Accountant as needed by performing general accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis, as a small percentage of overall responsibilities. Ensure discretion and confidentiality in all financial matters, maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Other duties and projects as assigned by the executive team.
