Chief Financial Officer Manufacturing Greenfield, Indiana (Hybrid) C: $280,000 JG002 MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK FRENCH. Finatal is working with a North American leader within manufacturing and distribution of automotive parts. Founded nearly 30 years ago, the business ($150m, 600 employees) has become an industry leader and as such was acquired by private equity three years ago to accelerate growth plans. Covering both US and Canadian markets they have 2 manufacturing facilities and multiple distribution centers. As they enter the second half of the cycle, they are looking to upgrade on their current CFO, as they navigate a current cash-tight period, who can create operational and strategic value as they gear up for an eventual exit. This person must have private equity manufacturing experience and able to speak French The Chief Financial Officer will have direct leadership responsibility for overseeing all accounting and finance responsibilities for the organization. The position will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with the executive leadership team and private equity investors. The CFO will be a member of the senior executive team and lead the effort to continue to evolve the finance function, in addition to the IT and SI&OP functions, to ensure it supports the present and future needs of the business by establishing more sophisticated analytics to help drive better, scalable business decision making. Responsibilities: Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial, business, and operational visibility to the CEO, business leadership, and the private equity firm, and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations, particularly to cost-out initiatives Proactively lead and develop a team of direct reports who are responsible for the creation and day - to - day management of the finance and accounting functions Engage the private equity investors around issues, trends, and changes to the operating model and operational delivery and drive action plans and results Oversee short- and long-term financial planning in alignment with the strategic plan Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally Maintain key external relationships, including the private equity investors, banks, lenders, and the independent auditors Work with CEO and others to coordinate and negotiate with major vendors and establish operations management capabilities Design and implement a back-office structure and the processes necessary to efficiently and effectively support the business Develop the processes, tools, and operational rigor to forecast revenues and expenses in accordance with cash flow Optimize the FP&A function Design and own management reporting and the creation of business management metrics Apprise management of the company's financial position and issues periodic reports on the Company's financial stability, liquidity, and growth Lead the organization with administration of policies and operation of all financial activities including accounting, financial analysis, bank relations, and strategic planning Areas of strength and expertise: 10+ years of experience at a senior financial level with substantial management and operational exposure Experience serving as a corporate-level chief financial officer, trusted advisor, and business partner to a CEO and/or Board within a growth-focused distribution and/or manufacturing company with private equity investment partnership Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, MBA (preferred) CPA certification Solid accounting expertise to govern and provide guidance on accounting matters including solid understanding of corporate governance matters including IFRS and US GAAP Experience in finance, tax, FP&A, management information systems, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, project management as well as the development, implementation, and presentation of related reports and statements Experience leading high-performing teams Strong organizational leadership abilities with a willingness to get hands dirty, and act as both a player and a coach Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with a focus on result Worked in a PE-backed entrepreneurial and fast paced environment Experience BI solutions and hands-on implementation experience of new finance system
