Description To assist in the maintenance of a safe, clean, and comfortable physical environment. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sweep, mop, strip, wax and buff common area floors as directed. Clean windows, vents, fans, all fixtures, fire equipment and furnishings on regular basis and inform Superintendent of needed repairs. Clean residential units when vacated and inform Superintendent of needed repairs. Assist in deliveries, unpacking, and stocking shelves. Maintain cleanliness of yard, alleys, picnic and play areas. Inspect, clean and re-stock public bathrooms daily. Clean play rooms and day care rooms daily. Bag and remove garbage in accordance with NYC Sanitation requirements. Sweep, mop, remove garbage, and tidy offices daily. Attend workshops, trainings as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Demonstrated ability to read and write in English on an 8th grade level. SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be physically and visually able to perform job tasks. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Qualifications Education Required High School or better Licenses & Certifications Preferred Driver's License
