Description PCSI is looking for a Quality Control and Safety Manager on our total facilities maintenance contract at Detroit Arsenal! The Quality Control and Safety Manager develops, implements, and monitors the site's quality control plan and ensures that work completed meets contract and ISO 9001 standards. Main responsibilities include working with operations on standardizing processes and overseeing a Quality Control Inspector who inspects work and maintains inspection data in support of the QCM. This role also leads the Safety program on site: running employee trainings and meetings, conducting hazard inspections, and leading accident investigations. This position reports to a Corporate Quality Control Manager and is based on-site in Warren, MI. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm. What You'll Do as Quality Control Manager: Manage and maintain and promote awareness of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with corporate quality directives and the ISO 9001 standard. Develops, implements and monitors PCSI's site-specific quality control program, validate operational controls are in place for all requirements and that quality control inspections and/or audits are performed in accordance with the site-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP). Collaborate with and assist PCSI operations in standardizing and implementing operational controls e.g., procedures/work instructions, checklists, training plans, etc. Conduct and document process and system inspections or audits using written procedures as inspections and/or audit standards Measure/monitor/analyze processes & implement actions to meet goals & drive continual improvement. Obtain/maintain quality data required to support management review efforts at site/corporate levels. When applicable, provide direction/supervision to inspector personnel who report directly to the QCM. When applicable and as needed, provide onsite employee training. Lead and drive compliance of PCSI's safety and health program, promoting a positive culture of safety. Facilitate and conduct monthly safety meetings, required safety training, hazard inspections/assessments and other safety related responsibilities in accordance with PCSI's safety program. Take charge of investigating all site actual/potential mishaps and oversee the root cause and corrective action process. Manage medical surveillance and respiratory protection program, able to perform respiratory fit testing. What You'll Need to Be Successful: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 2 years' experience in facilities maintenance operations required, including managing/supervising employees. 2 years' experience in quality systems and enforcing contract quality standards required. 2 years' experience managing a safety program, knowledge of MIOSHA or EM385-1-1 standards required. OSHA 30hr Construction or OSHA 500 certification, a plus. Government contract and/or Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferred. Experience in an environment that includes workers with disabilities preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with building codes, construction management, building superintendent work preferred. Experience in reading/understanding statement of work for project work. Advanced knowledge of PC functions/software e.g., MS Office & working knowledge of pivot tables. Experience in conflict resolution. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, creative problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritizing skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Experienced in root cause analysis, data analysis and preventive/corrective action. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to set and manage priorities. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision. Other Requirements: Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Potential exposure to dirt, dust, odors, chemicals, and infectious diseases. Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
