Cyber Systems Engineering, Senior Advisor Job Locations US-MD-Annapolis Junction Requisition ID Position Category Information Technology Clearance Top Secret/SCI w/Poly Responsibilities This Systems Engineer will support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The team supports multiple products that automate manual tasks so that mission customers can focus on more complex issues. The team employs Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure that high-quality, reliable software is delivered to the customer. The position is to be performed in a contractor facility which allows for flexible work schedules. In addition, the opportunity for teleworking is available based on tasking and customer approval. The Systems Engineer Level is expected to analyze user's requirements, draft concept of operations documents, and use high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and leads design and development activities, guide the users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. The Engineer will be the primary Technical Lead for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Additional responsibilities include the following: Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans Interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts Communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Seventeen (17) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required The ability to implement comprehensive SOA solutions The ability to conduct and/or approve end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize system operations over its life cycle through the proper balance of non-functional system performance areas The ability to ensure effective, periodic review and control of the evolving configuration of a system, both hardware and software components and associated documentation, during the life of the system The ability to develop system design alternatives that consider life cycle cost, reuse, complexity, risk, system expansion, and growth The ability to maintain knowledge of current and evolving agency, national, and international standards applicable to the system development of interest The ability to recommend a preferred solution based on selection criteria adjusted The ability to provide technical direction for the full systems engineering life cycle The ability to fully define interfaces in terms of origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics for software; and electrical and mechanical characteristics for hardware TS/SCI with poly Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems Experience in leading agile development models Experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments Experience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives Experience using Kibana Familiarity with JSON & XML Benefits: Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan. #LI-ET1 #AJCM Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
