Project Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY: The position is responsible for planning and overseeing all capital projects within the organization to insure they are completed on time and within budget. Working with the manufacturing manager, plan and designate resources, monitor progress and provide reports to management. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Functions and Details: a. Review material and labor requirements after job release from engineering and manufacturing. b. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. c. Predict resources needed to reach objectives. d. Monitor both purchased component costs and deliveries against project plan and budget. e. Work with the Manufacturing Manager to monitor labor against project plan and budget. f. Provide project updates on a regular basis with progress and suggested adjustments. g. Work with purchasing to manage vendors and suppliers with communicated deliverables. h. Monitor project progress and provide suggested adjustments as needed. i. Measure project performance and identify areas for improvement. j. Build labor and material card information for capital equipment and work order jobs as needed. k. Any other responsibilities as required by the President. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: a. Communication b. Organization c. Problem Solving d. Microsoft Office Products e. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Project f. Some travel locally and within the US may be required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: B.S. in related field or an Associate Degree with 5+ years in related experience. *Physical Requirements: * This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, sitting.
