Position Description Are you a Field Service Engineer looking for a place you can make a difference every day? Serco is searching for an experienced Field Service Engineer in support of The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program in Bethesda, MD. The NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is executed by the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) and NAVFAC regional Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs). The primary goal of the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems in accordance with their operational requirements. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance within 90 days of employment and US Citizenship. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program's mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters. In this role, you will: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment including alarms, naval munitions, giant voice, cameras, intrusion detection, emergency operation centers, regional dispatch centers, gates, wide area alert, indoor voice, enterprise land mobile radio, dispatch activities, and support for regional and emergency operation centers as needed. Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures; order and replaces parts as needed. Be relied upon to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Typically report to a supervisor or manager. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor's degree and 0-1 years experience OR HS Diploma with 2 years experience in the field. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within 90 days of start date. Be able to travel locally and long distance as needed. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
