Overview SUMMARY: PetroChoice, a leading distributor of petroleum-based lubricants in the US is looking for an AR Supervisor to join the team. This position will be a leader in the Accounts Receivable team and will report to the Senior Accounting Operations Manager. The AR Supervisor leads and manages the day to day collections processes. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Include but are not limited to the following. The Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time. All work is to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with Company standards. Other duties may be assigned. " Manage, coach, and mentor the AR team, facilitating their growth and development." Monitor A/R Aging, credit policy and work closely with clients to ensure that accounts are paid on a timely basis." Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, promoting teamwork and a customer-centric approach." Recommends accounts for collection escalation to 3rd party collection agencies" Reviews existing collections process and advises of best practice and opportunities for improvement" Determine and assign credit limits and terms for new customer accounts" Reassessing credit limits and terms for existing customers" Contact customers via e-mail and/or telephone regarding past due balances and disputes" Proactively manage and recover severely overdue customer accounts, including the issuance of late notices, final demands and/or credit hold notices" Provide support to various departments and customers, resolving inquiries related to billing, account standings, and payment arrangements" Produce and analyze reports for management detailing accounts receivable aging changes and balance fluctuations" Other special projects as assigned. Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from an accredited college or university. 3 to 5 years of in the seat collections experience and 2-3 years of supervising a team experience Language Ability:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, and internet software. History of working with a dual monitor set up or willingness to adapt to it.
