Job Summary: The Field Engineer II will be responsible for all line and grade operations at a job site with minimal direction or supervision. Duties/Responsibilities: Follows Mission, Vision, Values Works with a team and task leads Plans and Coordinates Travels to jobsites Manages cost, quality, schedule and safety on the job site Computes all point of layout through CAD or document software Completes daily logging and project documentation and RFI generation Responsible for line and grade of all operations on project (footings, walls, piers, anchor-bolts, embed plates, SOG, SOD) Verifies control points are properly installed and correct materials were used Performs equipment checks Sets up lasers Runs the total station, collector, and transit Coordinates with Superintendents, Project Manager, Foreman or client to clarify discrepancies Performs other related duties as assigned/needed up to and including all laborer duties Required Skills/Abilities: Expert in all laborer duties Strong ability to lead a team Strong knowledge of Word and Excel Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical documents, reports, legal or regulatory documents, drawings, and specifications Strong ability to effectively communicate and problem solve Strong ability to present information to manager, clients, customers, and co-workers Strong ability to do math and geometry such a proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume Strong Knowledge of industry tolerances and coordinate systems Strong Knowledge of survey equipment Strong ability to multitask and help supervise various sites Understanding of site-specific safety plans Strong ability to use construction tool Education and Experience: 3+ years of construction experience 2+ years Field Engineer experience CPR and First Aid (Thompson will train) Physical Requirements: Must be able to kneel, crouch, balance, climb, and crawl Must be able to traverse different types of worksites and bend, climb, stretch, and reach Must be able to maneuver in and out of job site trailers and various jobsite terrains Must be able to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to concrete, dirt, fumes, and loud noise levels Must be able to work long hours and Saturdays when needed Required Tool: Tape measure Hammer Complete Tool Belt Mission, Vision, Values: By honoring God, we will become nationally preferred concrete and excavation provider To entrust and empower our team to create the best experience for clients, communities, and families We will build lasting relationships based on Faith -- Walk the path of obedience with a conviction for giving back to our community near and afar.
