Your Impact at SAM The Utility Coordinator will be responsible for managing utility coordination processes, ensuring the timely identification, planning, and relocation of utilities within project scopes. This role is critical in ensuring that utility services are effectively managed and coordinated with other departments, contractors, and government agencies to prevent service disruptions and keep projects on schedule. Key Responsibilities: Attend Scoping Meetings: Participate in project scoping meetings, providing input and recommendations regarding utilities to ensure proper planning and conflict avoidance. Support Project Management: Provide project managers with essential project details to assist in developing scope and fee proposals. Utility Adjustment Coordination: Manage the coordination process for utility adjustments related to roadway and utility improvement projects, ensuring smooth integration into the overall project plan. Utility Conflict Resolution: Utilize Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) data and design plans to determine utility conflicts and resolve issues efficiently, avoiding project delays. Utility Agreement Assemblies: Prepare and submit Utility Agreement Assemblies, ensuring that all documents are accurate and align with DOT standards. Review Relocation Plans: Receive, review, and assess utility relocation plans to confirm constructability, ensure they pose no conflicts with other utility relocations, and that they accommodate the project's requirements. Conduct Utility Meetings: Schedule and lead utility coordination meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and up to date on the project status. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, reports, and other documentation as necessary to support utility coordination efforts. Review and approve documentation prepared by other Utility Coordinators (I or II). Track Permitting and Relocations: Monitor the progress of utility permitting and relocation efforts, ensuring timely completion and compliance with relevant regulations. Budget and Project Status Reporting: Manage project budgets, regularly provide project status updates, and deliver budget reports to ensure all projects are completed within financial constraints.
