We seek a motivated individual to assist sales in designing custom solutions and support product development initiatives. The position would be located in Niles, IL. Responsibilities: Design and model parts/assemblies in 3D CAD and generate drawings using SolidWorks. Create, update, and maintain Bill of Materials for products through the product life cycle. Author and update technical product documentation and product installation manuals. Design and implement verification tests per product specifications and written test plans. Assist with projects and product integration with existing or off-the-shelf products. Troubleshoot and solve engineering issues during the production phase. Assist operations on manufacturing issues related to quality form, fit, and function. Provide technical support to sales, installers, and end users. Support sustaining engineering of existing product portfolio. Required Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 1-3 years relevant work experience designing custom solutions and new products. Minimum 1 year experience of Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD. Prior experience of working with sales, integrators, and electrical contractors on custom applications is preferred. Experience with designing products to standards and regulatory code requirements.
