Credit Risk Assessment Intern Job ID Category Accounting & Finance Job Locations US-IL-Niles Workplace Arrangement Hybrid, Remote Overview SUMMER 2025 Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter. As a Credit Risk Assessment Intern, you will support Shure's diverse customer base. You will learn about and support various teams on maintenance of new customers, as well as in depth analysis of risk for each customer and the extension of a line of credit or increase/decrease to existing lines of credit. The opportunity will give you exposure to all aspects of customer management and risk mitigation for various customer types in a number of industries. This Internship can be hybrid or remote. Responsibilities Assist with fiscal year-end audit activities, risk assessment analysis, and other relevant tasks. These activities will involve the intern to search for and obtain various documents for each credit application received, as well as requesting references in adherence to Shure's credit policy. Assist in reviewing Shure's domestic and international customers' credit limits, as well as providing the Risk Manager with credit limit recommendations. Request financial statements from customers, evaluate the statements provided, obtain various commercial credit reports, and utilize the data within our risk model. The intern will prepare a risk assessment report, including a credit limit recommendation, to be presented to the Director of Global Credit Services. The intern will help with AR and Billing related activities associated with fiscal year-end duties. This will include review and processing of customer returns, offsets, within SAP, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications In-process of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Highly-organized and willing to learn end-to-end process improvement skills Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented Able to meet required deadlines Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Good Microsoft Office skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint. Good verbal and written communication skills. Analytical thinker with good problem solving abilities Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
