Job Description Are you interested in joining the fast paced environment of fleet support Prototype Safety Systems is hiring within the Submarine Power Plant Mechanical subdivision. Join a high performing team that has design cognizance of the safety systems and containment of the Kesselring Site Prototypes. Opportunities include trouble record resolution of emergent issues that support ongoing operations; containment testing of the structures and components at the Prototypes; in-service inspection program development and disposition of data; safety component evaluation, specification, and testing; and ensuring industrial work is executed safely in the vicinity of the operating plants. Working in a teaming environment, the group multitasks to handle a multitude of emergent and longer-term projects in parallel. Come be part of a great team! Successful candidates will be able to execute in a multidisciplinary environment, quickly process and assess data in real time, and leverage a fundamental understanding of fluid mechanical systems. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field. Pay Range $62,000.00 - $94,900.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
