Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Selectek needs a Mechanical í‚ Engineer í‚ for a partnering client near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Candidates will need a strong background in HVAC design for large-scale projects. Employment Type: Direct Hire Expected Annual Salary Range: $90,000-$150,000 depending on experience and background Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania This firm is regionally focused and has offices in suburban Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio. Job Requirements: - Bachelorí¢â‚¬â„¢s Degree in Mechanical Engineering -í‚ Minimum of five years í‚ of experience in mechanical system design/coordination - Proficiency with AutoCAD orí‚ Revit design software -í‚ Experience working on industrial or commercial projects í‚ - Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations í‚ Non-degreed candidates with strong design background should also apply!í‚ Job Duties: - Primarily designing HVAC systems for large-scale buildings (hospitals, schools, arenas) including ductwork and control systems - Perform load calculations and feasibility assessments of proposed projects - Develop and analyze energy models to optimize efficiency - Create engineering drawings and specifications for plumbing and fire protection when necessary - Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure all systems integrate with the overall building design - Oversee construction and installation/commissioning of systems - Recommend improvements or upgrades to design where required In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
