Lee Spring is seeking a Plant Manager to join our Fraser, MI location About us: Lee Spring manufactures and distributes mechanical springs, wire forms, stampings and four slide parts worldwide. We offer an extensive product line of more than 25,000 inventoried products in a variety of materials available in stock and ready to ship today. In addition, we also manufacture springs made to customer specifications. Lee Spring is the premier global source for stock catalog and custom designed mechanical springs and related products. Founded by Robert Lee Johannsen in 1918, Lee Spring began in Brooklyn New York and our Global Headquarters are still based in Brooklyn today. Through the years, we have expanded with additional strategic locations throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. We are well known for our extensive and comprehensive catalog of stock springs that have been used by engineers, professionals and buyers for decades. Beyond the catalog, we have considerable custom spring capabilities, personnel and a proficiency that comes with our many years within the industry. Reports to VP of Manurfacturing Brief Description: Responsible for the manufacturing of springs in the required quantity and quality. Perform all job functions safely at a minimum cost. Recommends, implements, and coordinates activities for the manufacturing plant to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed goals Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions Share a trusting relationship with peers, manage and develop plant staff Collect and analyze data to improve waste or overtime Execute plant safety procedures Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets Address employees' issues or grievances and adhere to the collective bargaining agreements Influence and learn from senior management Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts Job Requirements: 5 years of related experience in Manufacturing Industry Proven managerial experience Knowledge of MS Office Strong leadership skills and a can-do attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English.
