About the Role The IT Field Engineer (internally known as the Dispatch Engineer) is responsible for being our Service Desk hands during times we need them most! From prescheduled health checks (Primary Care Visits) to working with our Infrastructure Engineers during emergency situations, the Field Engineer is our calm, cool, and collected representative sent onsite to our clients to resolve whatever comes their way. While each day looks different depending on the troubleshooting task at hand, one thing remains constant - the Field Engineer is always personable, approachable, and willing to help our team and our client community. A Day in the Life Onsite Client Experience Represent Lloyd at our client offices by exhibiting our core values: Be Human. Create and maintain genuine relationships with our community. Be Accountable. Communicate with the Lloyd team and client, ensuring accountability is clear and expectations are always set. Priority Support/Hands Act as onsite support to Lloyd Infrastructure Engineers as they provide guidance for higher level technical issues. Help with implementation of new network components as part of project assignments (i.e. network and workstation). Level 1 Support Troubleshoot assigned Level 1 support tickets. Own and complete assigned Level 1 client requests, escalating to Team Lead if necessary. Ensure that all work performed is documented in ConnectWise. This must be done in a timely, accurate and detailed manner. On-Call Response Participate in rotating on-call schedules so that clients can depend on us 24/7 to meet their business needs. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training. 1+ years' experience in an IT related position. Effective communicator. Shows an interest in learning new materials and staying abreast of latest technical information; quickly learns new information. Follows established policies and procedures. Ability to identify important aspects of a problem, gathers appropriate information, determine potential cause, and specify alternative solutions. Technical Competencies The below technical competencies are included to give an idea of the type of environments we work with. Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 VMware and Hyper V in multiple host environments Microsoft Active Directory Experience with Compellent (Dell) SAN or equivalent Kaseya and ConnectWise experience a plus Windows 7, 8, 10 Microsoft Exchange Server Hosted Email Platform- O365, G-Suite, Rackspace Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 Hardware: Printers, Workstations, Servers, Routers, Switches, and Firewalls Strong understanding of networking and routing Software: Antivirus and Antimalware Software TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, VoIP, WLAN Mac experience a plus Role Logistics This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. This position will require travel to Lloyd client offices within the NYC metro area. This position may require travel outside of NYC to Lloyd or client offices and Lloyd events where locations will vary. Expected salary threshold between $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.
