Our client is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent to join our team and play a critical role in our IRS debt resolution services. Job Summary: As an Enrolled Agent, you will be responsible for representing clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities, specializing in debt resolution, negotiation, and tax compliance. You'll work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies to resolve tax debts, handle IRS disputes, and secure the best possible outcomes. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of IRS regulations, and a commitment to providing compassionate, knowledgeable support to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Client Representation: Represent clients before the IRS for tax debt resolution, including negotiating installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty abatement. IRS Debt Resolution: Work on resolving various IRS debt issues such as tax liens, wage garnishments, bank levies, and unfiled tax returns. Tax Controversy: Handle tax disputes, audits, appeals, and compliance matters, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients. Consultation and Strategy: Conduct client consultations to assess tax debt situations, develop tailored resolution strategies, and advise clients on their options. Tax Compliance: Ensure clients comply with IRS filing and payment requirements, guiding them in understanding and meeting their obligations. Case Management: Manage a caseload of tax resolution cases from initial consultation through resolution, maintaining organized and up-to-date records for each client. Documentation and Analysis: Prepare and review financial documentation, tax returns, and other necessary paperwork to support IRS filings and negotiations. Client Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, providing updates and answering questions throughout the resolution process. Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, CPAs, and other team members to develop comprehensive tax strategies and resolve complex tax issues. Qualifications: Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification with experience representing clients before the IRS. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IRS debt resolution, tax controversy, or related fields. Strong knowledge of IRS procedures, tax laws, and debt resolution options, including installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty abatement. Experience with tax return preparation, financial analysis, and tax compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and empathetic manner. High level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in tax software, financial analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a law firm or tax resolution company. Additional certifications or licenses in tax or finance, such as CPA or tax law background. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. Why Join Us?
