If yes, join our team at Buschemeyer Urology! Buschemeyer Urology is seeking a Nurse to join our Conroe practice. Dr. Buschemyer has been in practice for 25 years and is a leader in Urology, especially in advanced robotic procedures including prostatectomy, cystectomy, reconstructive bladder surgery, partial nephrectomy, as well as ureter and kidney reconstruction and repair. Dr. Buschemeyer also has a special interest in Urologic Oncology. Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for an experienced candidate with a friendly demeanor, great positive attitude, and customer-focused work ethic. Candidates must have the ability to multitask, work well with others as part of a team, and be able to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced office. We see patients on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8am-5pm with Mondays and Fridays as administrative days. As a Nurse at Buschemeyer Urology, you will: Greets patients and obtains well-documented history and vitals. Prepares patients for physical exam. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests. Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs. Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination including chart preparation, taking vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection directed by the provider. Formulates and updates patient care plans. Reviews patient's tests and examination results with provider; document patient files instruction and notifies patient. Prepare patients and assist urologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as cystoscopies, catheterizations, and urodynamic studies. Maintain a sterile environment during procedures and ensure all instruments are properly sanitized. Insert, manage, and remove urinary catheters. Administer prescribed medications, including antibiotics and pain management medications, as directed by the urologist. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns. Ensures preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas. Serves as a patient advocate and utilizes appropriate resources to support patient care Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: New Grads Welcome to apply! LVN License CPR certification Knowledge and experience in administering intramuscular and oral medication and monitoring I.V. Knowledge and understanding of medical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Ability to communicate clearly to patients, staff and physicians Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines Excellent oral and written communication skills Great customer service and teamwork Computer literate with proficiency in Word/Excel and EMR Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines Previous urology experience, including knowledge of urologic conditions and their treatments and catheterizations. bladder installations is a plus ModMed EMR experience a plus Physical Requirements Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Assists with lifting and moving patients as necessary. Lifts supplies/equipment up to 20lbs, occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. Ability to see, use fingers to grasp, move small objects, see and read information, verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
