HVAC ENGINEER

Overview Under the direction of the Lead HVAC Mechanic and Shift Manager, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Responsibilities Adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books. Conducts walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction. Assists with estimating parts, supplies, equipment and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions. Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system. Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment. Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or technical certificate required as well as a minimum of three (3) years of experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. Must also have a New Jersey state EPA HVAC License and possess basic mechanical aptitude. Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings. Valid driver's license required.  Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid New Jersey Casino Service Registration #indeedAC
