The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, cross-organizational and project management skills and thrive in a highly innovative, fast paced, evolving, and ambiguous environment. You'll drive delivery, unblock execution, regularly participate in executive meetings to present progress, monitor budget/spending, and share project information with stakeholders. This role also has a process documentation function. The candidate will work with a skilled and motivated global team of engineers using agile methodologies based on Scrum or Kanban and incorporating enterprise agile practices from Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The team embraces a DevOps environment - the Developers are the Operators. You will not just be reporting status, but you will be a member of the development team that makes it all happen. You need to be able to understand the technical issues brought to you by the development team and be able to jump in and help meet the team objectives. We are specifically looking for a hands-on, Technical Program Manager to join the Cloud Foundation Services (CFS) team. We provide critical cloud services to multiple Oracle Global Industry Unit applications. CFS provides an ecosystem of cloud development: a microservice-driven platform, a software delivery tool chain, and a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) operations model to support high margin, highly elastic, and highly available Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in the following areas: Work in an agile DevOps continuous delivery development environment with geographically distributed teams is highly desired. Collaborate with OCI IaaS engineering teams and TPMs to gather OCI level requirements as well as deadlines and communicate the requirements and deadlines. Drive compliance initiatives such as security patching and OS upgrades. Use Jira and agile processes to define the scope for the release, using epics and sprints work with the various leads, including managers and technical contributors to manage the design, functional and test specifications for the projects. Publish status via dashboards to provide high level status and tracking, identify any risks (including technical risks) and put in action plans to mitigate them quickly. Use your technical understanding to identify tasks, gaps, issues, and risks that can be technical in nature. Own/drive/participate in array of initiatives/deliverables across the portfolio of service management capabilities, processes, and technologies. Build out analytics specific to the area of involvement. This includes KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting. The candidate should be able to use data to speak to the efficacy of their processes and capabilities. Responsible for meeting deliverable deadlines Recommend process improvements and act as the primary point of contact for any issues or questions related to the program. Attend training as required to meet Oracle compliance and regulatory standards. Perform daily task in accordance with compliance and regulatory standards. Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring successful delivery. This includes defining success criteria, developing, and managing project governance plans, project schedules, team goals, communication strategies, and project milestones. Proactively identify and manage program risk, identifying paths to overcome risks, and escalating when necessary. Track and manage the backlog on a timely basis for a release, meeting high quality and time goals. Own and follow up on unblocking cross area development blockers and escalate to required senior team members as required. Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable milestones and deliver against tight deadlines. Create risk management plans and maintain risk register. Work with the Product Owner and team members on implementation decisions Other duties as assigned. Provide on-going written and verbal status updates to senior leadership. For complex projects, you are able track progress and communicate status in a way that is easy to understand for stakeholders and team members. Manage expectations, alignment, and communications with customers and stakeholders through cadenced meetings, reports, statuses, reviews etc. Lead regularly scheduled status meeting with stakeholders. Manage communication across organizations and cross-functional teams. Prepare communication plans and strategies for stakeholder engagement. Build relationships and collaborate globally with stakeholders and partners to deliver outcomes across the organization, ensuring a shared understanding of progress and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the roadmap, while setting realistic expectations. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
