MCC is one of sixteen institutions in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and awards certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in liberal arts and technical education. To learn more about MCC, please visit and to learn more about Madisonville and the surrounding area, you may visit Job Duties: Serves as an Advocate/Recruiter for the Western Region Migrant Education Service Center. This position is grant funded through September 2025; continued employment is contingent upon the continuation of the grant •Assists in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for enrollment, student records, and the student information system. •Serves as the liaison among institutional stakeholder groups such as school personnel, community agencies and program participants, providing registration information and representing the interests of the program and program participants. •Provides English classes and GED options to Out-of-School youth, college/career counseling to in-school participants and tutoring services as needed. •Assists director with facilitation of the grant, program, or project through recruitment efforts of eligible migrant children within the target region. •Develops and maintains excellent relationships with services agencies and other referral organizations within the assigned region. •Interprets, explains, and facilitates participation to all potentially eligible families in the purpose of the Migrant Education Program. •Conducts ID&R training and workshops for new staff in the region. •Other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree required (Education or content-related field), and one-year related experience or equivalent for experience only. •They will have earned a 12.9+ score in every content area on a TABE A or, within the past 10 years, they will have earned a 21-composite score on an ACT or 990 on the SAT. •A current teaching certificate in the content area of instruction is preferred. •Bilingual in English and Spanish. •Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekends, as needed. •Dependable transportation.
