College Intern - Construction

RK&K is hiring a Construction Management/Engineering Intern to join our CM. As an intern in our Construction Department at RK&K, you will receive on-the-job training working alongside and collaborating closely with one of the industry's largest, most talented groups of inspectors, engineers, and construction management professionals in the Mid-Atlantic. Essential Functions: Assist inspectors, project engineers and managers with a variety of tasks, including preparation of contract plans, specifications and construction cost estimates on construction projects Assist with construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders) Communicate effectively and collaboratively coordinate with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and project teams, including other disciplines, such as cost estimators, designers, and other engineers Quality control review and claims analyses of contract documents Required Experience: Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, or similar Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Valid driver's license Preferred Skills and Experience: Exposure to Project/Program Management Software Understanding of construction drawings and specifications Proficient in Bluebeam or other PDF annotation software What We Offer RK&K offers excellent potential for career advancement and professional growth.
