Job Description: The Quality Lab Engineer will work out of our state-of-the-art Innovation Center where we focus on developing novel polyurethane foam formulations and products, in addition to ensuring the highest quality materials in the industry. An ideal candidate is a highly skilled, detail-oriented, hands-on person with a drive for learning and a passion for science and problem solving. In this role will be responsible for conducting and coordinating all laboratory testing activities to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IATF 16949 requirements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our products through accurate and precise testing procedures. Responsibilities Conduct, support, and coordinate laboratory testing activities Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IATF 16949 standards Conduct testing on different foam grades to assess quality and performance. Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports for internal production and external products Resolve technical service requests in a timely manner Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues Train laboratory staff on proper testing procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements to continuously improve laboratory operations Elaborate KPIs and customer feedback reports Participate in the internal audits for ISO/IATF and ISO/IEC 17025 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, preferably with quality control in the manufacturing industry Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IATF 16949 and their application in laboratory testing (preferred) Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in performing a variety of analytical tests using laboratory equipment and instrumentation, such as Compression/tension testing, various chemical titrations, water content, viscometer, flammability testing, bond strength testing, DMA, FT-IR, SEM-EDS, GC-MS, GPC, TGA, DSC, UV-VIS, NMR Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is a plus Six Sigma certification is a plus Key words #LI-Onsite Connect With Us!
