SUMMARYThe primary responsibility will be managing and supporting the server components for a Process Control Network (PCN). In addition to supporting the PCN, the System Administrator will be responsible for supporting other areas such as account management, network and server administration. The System Administrator will provide Tier 1 support for the Control Engineers and other IT staff members onsite as well as provide backup support for the system administrators at Savannah Refinerys parent company, US Sugar Corporation. Support for US Sugar will be done in a remote manner with approved remote tools.FUNCTIONSInstall, configure and maintain software and hardware for the environmentMaintain the integrity of the operating system server environment for both physical and virtual system builds with minimal supervisionCreate and manage system permissions and user accounts for servers andor computer devicesMonitor performance and maintain systems according to requirementsResearch and upgrade systems with new releases and models when neededPerforming regular security tests and security monitoringAudit and maintain security levels consistent with the IT Security Policies. This may include developing and implementing policies, performing intrusion testing, identifying & correcting security vulnerabilities and implement security related software. Work with the IT department to complete third-party audit and internal controls requestBuild and maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies with cooperation from the Director of IT OperationsPlanning of the organization. Provide insight on the timing for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and enhancements of the system to the staffParticipates in on-call support and off-hours server administration and problem resolutionMonitor performance for capacity management of the server environmentCollaborate on the design and execution of the disaster recovery plansPlan budgets for upcoming and ongoing capital and operating expensesParticipate in weekly Change Control Meetings meeting via ZoomOther duties as assignedAdditional Responsibilities:Provide backup support to the Savannah Refinery IT Systems Administrator Backup support could include supporting items such as troubleshooting computer issues, printer problems, Wi-Fi connectivity issues, cell phone problems, file folder permission issues, new computer setups, Microsoft 365 support, etc.Fill in for the IT Systems Administrator during his absenceProvide backup support to the Systems Administrators located at the US Sugar site in Clewiston, FL. Support will be performed remote through approved remote tools. The backup support will be focused on the physical and virtual server environments.Provide support for the IT systems that reside on the Savannah Refinery Process Control Network Computers, Monitors, PrintersNetwork troubleshootingServer supportAssist the Control Engineers with new server builds, snapshots, server backups, server decommissions, new host records, Active Directory account management, etc.Salary: $80.00-$100.00 QUALIFICATIONSPossess relevant IT or Computer Science college degree5 years experience as System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar IT support roleExperience in troubleshooting network connectivity related issues in LAN WAN environmentsExperience in SAN & Hypercoverged environments (HPE Simplivity preferred)Experience in Virtualization Technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-VExperience with backup and disaster recovery technologies and processes (Barracuda preferred)Windows system administration for on premise and cloud environments (Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2021, DHCP, DNS, IIS, PowerShell, Group Policies, etc.)Active Directory and Microsoft AzureMicrosoft Exchange 2016 & Windows Terminal ServerExperience with DLP SolutionsExperience supporting security applications such as Antivirus, Privilege Account Management, Web Filtering Proxy, etc.Experience and an understanding of the threat and attack landscape, attack vectors, vulnerabilities and how they are leveraged by malicious actorsAccountable, take ownership and have strong focus on customer satisfactionAbility to troubleshoot complex problems to ensure timely and accurate resolution of system anomalies before they impact operationsAbility to work well within a team or individuallyAbility to work under pressure; prioritizes and manage time efficientlyExcellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiencesWORKING CONDITIONS• 30% of the work environment is conducted in an open outdoor environment, exposed to heights and rapidly changing temperatures including extreme heat, weather conditions, blowing dust and hardhat, goggles, hair net, ear plugs, andor full body chemical resistant suites), regularly climbing stairs, kneeling, crawling, bending, stooping, reaching, and walking on uneven ground containing trip hazards. • 70% of the work environment is conducted in an environmentally controlled office, operating computerized equipment containing colored flashing lights sound indicators while using repetitive hand and eye movements.
