Senior Project Engineer- Hydrology and Regulatory Compliance Job Details Job Location Boswell Engineering NJ - South Hackensack, NJ Job Category Engineering At Boswell, we understand the significance of our work and its impact on society. As the Senior Project Engineer- Hydrology and Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for the design of stormwater management, open channel projects, hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling, and preparation of regulatory permit applications. The position can be based at either our South Hackensack, NJ or Chester, NJ office. Responsibilities: + Prepare permits for State and Federal regulatory compliance + Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) analysis, stormwater design, open- channel flow analysis and should have experience with stormwater management regulations + Complete assignments on a schedule and within the project budgets + Attend project meetings with the clients + Passion for continued learning to keep abreast of the changing State and Federal regulations + Desire to be exposed to a wide variety of engineering challenges + Strong attention to detail + Strong verbal and written skills + Ability to work independently + Manage time efficiently + Excellent writing skills for preparing reports + Site plan design + Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: + BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering + Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required + 5-10 years of experience in environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation + Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS + Familiarity with NJDEP, ACOE, and NYDEC regulations + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Design of Green Infrastructure BMPs (Best Management Practices) for stormwater management + Previous work in this discipline is required + Experience in the following: + The candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, as well as good communication and report writing skills H&H Modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, SWMM, or any other H&H program is desirable) We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
