SUMMARY Candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons and employees of the property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. Candidate will, at the direction of Security Management, relay instructions to other Security Officers. Candidate must understand the importance of guest safety. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with the public. Candidate must be professional and courteous at all times to both Security Officers and the public. Candidate may provide training to officers. Candidate ensures compliance with all rules and regulations of the Indiana Gaming Commission, the standard operating procedures of the property and all other applicable laws. Candidate will assist with the destruction of used cards and dice from table games. Candidate will be responsible for escorting fills, credits, and documents to and from the cage and pit. Candidate may assist with escorting the casino drop team. Candidate may assist with identifying patrons as they enter the casino to prevent underage patrons from obtaining access to the gaming floor. Candidate may act as the shift dispatcher and will help coordinate the activity of the on duty security officers on the property. Candidate may be assigned to drive a property vehicle or shuttle as needed. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent.Candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent. LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATH ABILITY Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS Must possess intermediate PC skills.Microsoft Office experience required. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission. The noise level is high.Candidate will be exposed to smoke on the casino floor.Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Employee must be able to lift up to 40lbs independently and more than 40lbs with assistance. The employee will be required to stand and sit for extended periods of time.Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
