Position Overview OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Coating Operator supports our E-Coat process and requires an individual that is detail-oriented, extremely thorough, organized and able to multi-task. Position Responsibilities Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees. Starts the machine, observes how the machine is operating, and inspects first run and sample work pieces to ensure the machine conforms to specifications. Read blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as part identification, part color, number of parts to be run, and coating instructions. Select, install, and adjust machine controls to the production run sheet. Perform preventative maintenance inspections as required. Assist other Electrocoat staff to set up the machine, rake, pack, and transport finished work pieces. Maintain a neat and well-organized work area. Perform other tasks as assigned. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass Chemical Hygiene Training. Analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret production sheets. Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electrically and mechanically. Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner. Strong working knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation preferred. Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on capacity. Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently. The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
