This is a great time to join our team as we are currently seeking candidates to fill a Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at our Mill Creek quarry, located in Quincy, IL.This is typically a Monday-Friday position (Saturday's when needed) operating on a variety of heavy equipment such as front end loaders and haul trucks, among others. As typical mechanic positions go, good hand-eye coordination, ability to problem solve, and willingness to get dirty as you disassemble and reassemble are all expectations of the position. Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Conduct fuel, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic diagnostics and troubleshooting on a wide range of mobile equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulics. Complete accurate written record of work performed. Communicate and work well with others in a safe and professional manner. Heavy Equipment Mechanic qualifications; Vocational / Technical degree highly desired. Welding certifications are a plus. Ability to multi-task, take directions, and perform well with others.
