Job Description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Dental Assistant program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assistant courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. Completion of an approved Dental Assistant program resulting in diploma or certificate of completion, associate degree preferred Required Certifications: DANB Radiation Health & Safety Certification and Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), OR Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Additional certification that are not required but useful: Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) Certified Preventive Functions Dental Assistant (CPFDA) Certified Restorative Functions Dental Assistant (CRFDA) Certified in Dental Infection Prevention & Control (CDIPC) At least three years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, motivated and results driven Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required
