IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITYInterim Human Resources Director, USAReports To: Global Director, Organizational CapabilityDuration: 12 months (possibility permanent)Location: Buffalo, NYOur client a high-profile manufacturing organization is looking for a dynamic Interim Human Resources Director to join their team as they are going through a transformation. Reporting to the Global Director, Organizational Capability, you would be responsible for providing a broad range of HR support to office, sales, and factory employees throughout the USA. As an interim Human Resources Director, you will be overseeing recruitment & onboarding, benefits administration, human resources program execution, employee relations, and health, safety, and environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for a variety of adhoc projects as required. Key Accountabilities:Lead full-cycle recruitment activity for professional, technical, administrative and production staff Provide an effective onboarding program for new hires, ensuring complete follow through with our learning management system and assigned orientation programs and the establishment of individual training programs Monitor and action probation periods and various compensation and job changesManage and administer the group insurance plan and 401(k) plan for all US employees as well as manage the renewal process Communicate and education employees on the plan coverageMaintain all programs on FLMA, New York State paid family leave, Workers' CompensationSupport the rollout of programs and processes such as performance management, recognition, rewards, and training to improve engagement and productivityWork with in-house training team and management to create and monitor Individual Development Plans for all staff Coordinate changes to benefit and retirement plan program participationProvide advice, recommendations, and resolutions to ensure hands-on support, guidance, and high-quality service on all day-to-day employee relations matters Work with operations management to create and execute recruitment, training, and evaluation on the shop floorOrganize company social engagement events (holiday party, BBQs, etc.)Participate in Health, Safety and Environmental matters at the facility, including Green Team and Joint Health and Safety CommitteeParticipate in the Wellness CommitteeCompetences and Requirements:University Degree or equivalent; HR Diploma and member of PHR andor SPHR5 - 7 years of HR experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution employees in an industrial environmentDemonstrated knowledge of HR principles, general practices and HR regulations, policies, and procedures Ability to show tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling information of confidential andor sensitive natureCreative problem-solving skills, conflict management within different organizations (centralized and matrix organizational structures)Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action.
